Why people love fast cars
Everybody knows that first impressions count for a lot but even then, not more than the impression you will create from the car you drive. Folks will always judge you much more quickly based on your ride. Especially if it is a rather fast, powerful car that tends to turn heads. They will all assume that you are the adventurous and daring type, even if you are not. People will be so sure that you are extremely interesting to be with. Just the kind of guy that ladies find impossible to resist. Whatever your views on what others tend to think of you when you drive fast flashy cars, you cannot really blame them because that is exactly how things tend to be in popular movies.
Still, in real life there seems to be a difference between the people who just dream about driving the fastest trendiest car in the world and those who will do virtually anything to own such a car.
What kind of cars are we talking about here? Which is the fastest most exciting car that money can buy? Well, here are the three fastest production cars in the market today.
The car that holds the record (verified by the Guinness book of world records) for being the very fastest car in the world is the cute looking Bugatti Vevron Super Sport which is capable of speeds of 267 mph (431 km/h). Amazingly this powerful little beauty accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in just 2.4 short seconds. The price label on the Bugatti reads a cool US$ 2,400,000.
It is interesting to note that this car was been named after French racing legend Pierre Vevron who was champion of the Le Mans in 1939 racing with the Bugatti company.
The earlier version of this speedy car had a top speed of 253 mph and was named the car of the decade by the TV show Top Gear (produced by the BBC).
Runners up in the speed stakes is shared between the Hennessey Venom GT and the Koenigsegg Agera R. Both this powerful brutes hit the 260 mph mark although their acceleration capabilities are a little different with the Hennessey being ahead since it is able to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 2.5 seconds while the other car can manage the same feat 4 milli-seconds slower at 2.9 seconds
The SSC Ultimate Aero is not too far behind in 3rd place with a respectable 257 mph. Verified road tests show that it is able to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 2.7 seconds.
Many men love the speed and power that would be at your disposal driving one these four cars. And especially the Bugatti Vevron Super Sport. Can you imagine the effect when somebody asks you what car you drive at some social function and you announce that you have a Bugatti parked outside? Just the kind of thing that is capable of changing everything very suddenly. Little wonder that many men would do anything and give anything to own these kinds of power horses.
